While many in this world seek the faster side of life, the artwork of Randy Earles points one’s thoughts to less stress, a more simplistic and peaceful reflection on how things can be when we choose a different path.

Randy is a self taught artist working in multiple mediums specializing in Americana and Nostalgia scenery. Born in 1969 in Des Moines, Iowa where he has spent most of his life except for four years living in Kansas City. He worked in and around the graphic design field for fifteen years before deciding to get back to his true passion, fine art. In 2011 he decided to quit his job to focus solely on being a full time professional artist. His art has been used by organizations such as The Nation Rifle Association and Pheasants Forever.

Randy works out of his home studio with his wife Brenda. They also share their house with Ginger, a Husky/German Shepherd mix they met at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. Ginger basically rules the house and has final say in anything.

What I love about art is there is no right or wrong way, total freedom to express yourself without rules. It’s not the tools that make the art, it’s the creativity of the artist.

Artist Statement

When your young you’re in a rush to grow up, as an adult I am finding more and more I want life to slow down. That calmness is what I am trying to convey and reflect upon in my art.  I want my artwork to have a feeling of peace with a touch of nature and nostalgia thrown in for good measure.

I have been influenced by a wide variety of things and experiences in my life. I have traveled throughout most of America and taken in the scenery along the way. I take the time to observe nature around me and I use that to incorporate in my work.

I try to make my art accessible to everyone. No matter what your background or life story is I want the viewer to be able to look at my art and want to feel a part of the scenery.
