Signs of Autumn
Autumn is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about it whether its the cold crispness to the air as you breath in or the abundance of colors on the foliage. It’s like Mother Nature’s own painting surrounding you. It’s also time for the apple orchards to be in full production with all of those tasty crisp apples to eat and jugs of cider to drink. Fall marks the end of hot Iowa summers and bitterly cold winters. It’s like the Goldilocks of seasons where the temperature is “just right”. it also marks the beginning of football season and hosts one of my favorite holidays, Halloween.
What I wanted to play with in this scene is the warm colors and tones on everything from the fall leaves to the indian corn and apples contrasted slightly against the coolness of the rich green grass. I also wanted to include what I feel are some icons of the season. Not only the fall leaves but the idea of the apple orchards and pumpkin patches that pop up during this time.
